Who We Are

Rogue Valley Masters is a workout group registered under the Oregon Masters Swimming Local Masters Sanctioning Club (LMSC). We welcome all to come swim with us! Most of us swim for fitness, while several of us also like to compete. Rogue Valley Masters (RVM) was founded in Ashland, Oregon and is a community-based swim team with dedicated swimmers of all ages and abilities. Currently, we share coaching responsibilities among our members, rotating each swimmer through a schedule. It allows for variety in the workouts and lowers our operational costs. Where We Swim

Rogue Valley Masters swims at Daniel Meyer Pool in Ashland, Oregon. Daniel Meyer is currently closed for repairs, so we are swimming at the local YMCAs during lap swims, typically M/W/F at 6:00am.

Workouts

Workouts are:

• • Monday through Friday from 5:45am to 7:00am
  • Sunday from 8:00am to 9:30am

Locker Rooms

There are Men’s and Women’s locker rooms with doors opening to the pool deck. Lockers are available but please bring your own lock. Showers are typically hot! During the winter, locker rooms are heated and the pool deck can be quite cold, so please prepare accordingly.

IMPORTANT: USMS Requirements

All swimmers must be a registered member of United States Masters Swimming (USMS) or be in a pre-approved 30-day consecutive trial period. To obtain a trial waiver, please contact the Oregon Masters Registrar, Susie Young, at swim.pdx@gmail.com or call 503-475-8004.

Fees

Anyone is welcome to become a member of RVM. We have a 30 trial period for you to check us out before joining. Once you join, you’ll join OMS as well ($60 for the calendar year). RVM pool dues are $40/month or $10 per swim drop-in. Dues are due on the first of each month.

Rogue Valley Masters is an organization that is a 501(c)3 non-profie and has been affiliated with the non-profit Aquatic Foundation of Southern Oregon. We are governed by an elected board of directors. The current board is:
